Jacqueline Peltier, Editor
With acknowledgement and thanks to Jacqueline Peltier for her devoted work, we are pleased to present here the complete run of thirty-two issues of la lettre powysienne from Spring 2001 to Summer 2017. (See our tribute to Jacqueline on the news of her death in July 2019). All issues are available in pdf, and a list of contents for each issue has been added to give a preview of what lies within.
Note 24/02/2020: No.6 has no pdf, and pdfs for Nos.26 and 28 are spoiled by corrupted formatting symbols. Individual articles are being made available where possible — these are indicated by live link colouring.
Jacqueline’s description of the journal’s history and objectives (from the powys-lannion website):
La lettre powysienne was initially devoted to John Cowper, probably the best-known in France of the three brothers, but in the following numbers I attempted to introduce the other members of the Powys tribe, especially Theodore and Llewelyn, less well-known. La lettre powysienne has always been essentially bilingual, French—English. I also published some texts in their original language, other than French or English, with of course a facing translation. La lettre powysienne did not aim at being academic, but rather wished to be a platform open to all.
The final issue of la lettre powysienne was Number 32 — Spring/Summer 2017.
