The Conference was held at the Hand Hotel, Llangollen, Friday 29 August to Sunday 31 August 2003.
Conference Report
Among the line-up of participants was a number of distinguished figures including our Vice-Chairman David Goodway, who spoke on 'A cult of the sensations: John Cowper Powys's life-philosophy and anarchist individualism' ; while Professor Charles Lock spoke on Celtic Voices, Celtic Spaces, a lecture which focussed on Owen Glendower and Porius. W.J. (Bill) Keith, formerly Professor of English at Toronto University also spoke on Porius and Professor Harald Fawkner of Stockholm University spoke on J.C. Powys and the Nuclear Properties of Non-Subjective Objects.
There was a turn-out of around 45 members at what proved to be a lively, happy, stimulating and thoroughly Powysian weekend.
