The Conference was held at Christie College, Cheltenham, 26-28 July 1974

Timothy Hyman’s recollections:

Rosemary Manning spoke on Llewelyn , and Gerard on JCP and Homer; Glen on TFP, and Jeremy Hooker on JCP and David Jones. I think I spoke— “Powys’s Transition to Myth”.

And Wilson Knight was present — one of us six in the same primitive DORMITORY accommodation!

When he saw one of the other inmates in exactly the same striped pyjamas , he cackled and cried out “SNAP !”
